Did you know we make our own whole-grain Granola? Now you can too. See the recipe below to make a batch at home. If you can’t find dried cherries, feel free to substitute dried cranberries, apricots or mangoes.
Lovejoy Bakers Granola
makes 5 pounds
1/2 cup canola oil
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
6 cups regular (not instant) oatmeal
1/3 cup almonds
1/3 cup raisins
1/3 cup sunflower seeds
1/3 cup dried cherries
Preheat oven to 250 degrees
In a very large bowl, combine oil, sugar, honey, cinnamon, and salt together. Add oatmeal and mix well. Form a shallow layer on sheet pan and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
Cool and mix in remaining ingredients. Store in a tightly sealed container.
